Michal works as an Engineering Manager in Avast Software. His main duty is to make sure that Avast products are in good shape when released to more than 450 million customers. He specializes in product launch delivery and improving the speed of delivery by cutting down the cost of release. He has experience in various projects in companies such as Sun Microsystems, CA technologies, etc. that he also likes to share as a speaker at various conferences such as TestStack Conference, Tesena Fest, TestConf Moscow, Selenium Conf India and others.
Products are bigger and more complex and deployment of new versions is faster than ever. Emphasis on sustainable quality grows with the speed of delivery. You cannot test and automate everything. So how to find out and specify what is important and what is not? In his talk, Michal will share his experience with solving this puzzle by applying the famous Pareto principle. He and his team divided the product into several categories and for each category defined an ordered list of tests with the highest impact on a product. Those tests were then automated. He will also reveal the categories and the way how to present them to all product stakeholders.
